Dr. Derick Todd - Biography

An ablation procedure often takes 2-3 hours of concentrationI have been a Consultant in Liverpool since 2003. Over this time I have helped to establish Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital as the biggest centre for heart rhythm care in the UK.

I went to medical school at The University of Edinburgh, followed by junior hospital jobs in Edinburgh. My Cardiology training was in Derby and Leicester. Following this I did research into Atrial Fibrillation in Manchester, and finished with specialist training in Electrophysiology in Canada (London, Ontario).

I am married with 3 children. My main hobbies outside of medicine are sports. I play club squash, tennis and golf. I also enjoy skiing. I am a coach for my son’s under 9 football team.
